Lovely small hotel in the mountains with great views, just 45 mins drive from Santander. The lady running it was very helpful and friendly. Nice meal with local wine and beer. Breakfast was tasty too! Comfortable and spacious room with good parking. Excellent gluten-free options. The pool was a great facility for both children and adults. Perico, the resident donkey, was very friendly. Good location and surroundings. Guests' dogs were welcome. The hotel also had a piano and a library of good books.
100% Recommend this hotel.

As someone who wants to be in direct touch with nature, I loved the well-maintained garden and the organic food from the hotel's own garden. the spacious rooms and fantastic food, including the memorable stuffed zucchini, made my stay truly enjoyable. There were plenty of things to explore in the region, and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere was perfect for unwinding. the caring and lovely host family made me feel welcome, and their passion for cooking was evident in the delicious meals they prepared. the amenities and the overall experience at this hotel exceeded my expectations.

We loved the location of this countryside hotel, especially after a rough ferry crossing. It was perfect for us with our three small dogs. There were plenty of areas to walk our dogs as well. the owner was extremely accommodating and made us feel at home. They even provided a delicious picnic for us to enjoy on the patio outside our room. Tea and coffee were also available upon request. the traditional Spanish atmosphere added to the homely feel of the place.
Felt safe walking at night, no complaints at all.

The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and very comfortable. It had a queen sized bed and a lovely cozy sofa bed for our 12-year-old. The staff, although they didn't speak English, were very friendly and made an effort to accommodate us. They cooked us a delicious dinner, even though we arrived late. We were pleasantly surprised by the meal - spaghetti Bolognese followed by egg and bacon and rice pudding! It was a funny experience, trying to explain what English people like to eat. We enjoyed walking our dog in the surrounding areas, as there were plenty of nice places to explore. The hotel also had a lovely swimming pool, which was fenced off for safety, and a beautiful terrace where we could enjoy a bottle of Rioja. It was the perfect way to end our time in Spain.
The noise at night. We could hear cowbells and occasional dogs barking in the distance, which made it difficult to sleep.

The room at Posada El Campo was absolutely amazing! It had a spacious layout and the spa bath in the bedroom was a luxurious touch. I felt like a pampered guest during my stay. The mountain views from the room were breathtaking and added to the overall serenity of the experience.
Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the shower in the private bathroom. But hey, different strokes for different folks, right?
